DESCRIPTION:Come Home for Our 80th Sunday School Anniversary Celebration\n
  \nOn 6 October 1946\, our Sunday School began. Permission was granted to
  use the local hall until our own building\, Warrandyte Gospel Chapel in Y
 arra Street\, was established. The hall was made available free of charge\
 , and on that first Sunday\, 6 October 1946\, Sunday School opened with F.
  McIntosh\, R. Wells\, T. Spencer\, Mrs Wells\, Mrs Hayes and Mrs M. Speer
  faithfully serving as the teaching team. An incredible 70 scholars attend
 ed that very first Sunday\, laying the foundation for a ministry that has 
 touched generations of children and families over the past 80 years.\n \n
 Were you part of the Sunday School at Warrandyte Gospel Chapel? Perhaps yo
 u were one of the many children who eagerly gathered each Sunday\, a dedic
 ated teacher who faithfully shared God's Word\, or a parent who helped beh
 ind the scenes. Wherever your story fits\, we'd love to welcome you back.\
 n \nOn Sunday\, 4 October 2026\, Warrandyte Community Church invites you 
 to celebrate 80 years of the start of ministry. Together we'll look back o
 n the rich history of the work through historic photos\, treasured memorie
 s\, music from the past and present\, and stories spanning the generations
 . Most importantly\, we'll give thanks for God's faithfulness and honour t
 he countless men and women who invested their time\, love and faith into t
 he lives of children over the past eight decades.\n \nWhether it's been a
  few years or many decades since you last walked through our doors\, this 
 is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old friends\, reminisce about
  the Sunday School days you shared\, and celebrate the lasting impact this
  ministry has had on so many lives. Following the anniversary service\, pl
 ease stay and enjoy lunch and fellowship as we continue sharing memories t
 ogether.\n \nIf you attended Sunday School\, taught a class\, or have pho
 tographs\, memorabilia or stories from the past\, we'd love to hear from y
 ou. Please help us make this celebration even more special by sharing your
  memories with us.\n \nWe hope you'll come home and be part of this very
