Baptism

At Warrandyte Community Church, we believe the act of water baptism is an important step of obedience in being a disciple of Jesus.

Water baptism is a public declaration of our faith in Jesus Christ. It is an outward demonstration of the inward transformation that occurs when we in receive Jesus as our Lord and Saviour.

Being baptised in water, is an act of faith and obedience in following Jesus and His commands as written in scripture.

Mark 1:9-11 One day Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee, and John baptised Him in the Jordan River. As Jesus came up out of the water, He saw the heavens splitting apart and the Holy Spirit descending on Him like a dove. And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”
