Since 2016 HELP’s donors have been giving to the ’Sipho’s Stars’ project which aims to put Christmas gifts in the hands of as many children as possible in Khayelitsha Township in Cape Town in South Africa.
HELP sends funds to our partner Uyesu Unathi which are all used to buy items locally, compile packages and distribute them to children who would otherwise not receive a Christmas gift.
KHAYELITSHA TOWNSHIP was created during apartheid for migratory workers. 'Khayelitsha’ means new home.

HOW TO BE A STAR IN A CHILD'S LIFE Your donation of $11 buys a gift for a child in need. (Gift packages include a t-shirt, a pair of thongs, a toy and a treat.) We send accumulated donations to Uyesu Unathi They purchase, pack and personalise (your name on a star) the gift for distribution.
