Warrandyte Community Carols

Christmas comes to Warrandyte when the Warrandyte Community Carols are presented at Stiggants Reserve on Saturday 16th December, commencing at 7.00pm. A huge line-up of featured artists will entertain the crowd as the whole community gathers to celebrate the Christmas season.

This year there is something for everybody, ranging from the Warrandyte Bush Band to the rousing local Tenor Raymond Khong and the original sounds of the Donvale Christian College Bellringers.

The evening starts with a visit from the Warrandyte CFA bringing with them a very special guest ready to share lollies with all the kids.

The Maroondah Singers & the Eltham Concert Band will kick off the musical proceedings with a medley of Christmas favourites to put us all in the Christmas mood.

Andersons Creek Primary school choirs will put a smile on our faces with a selection of new Australian Christmas songs…to rev’ up that Reindeer!

The Warrandyte Bush Band lead by Warrandyte legend Kevin O’Mara will sing some classic Christmas songs accompanied by some historic bush instruments aiming to bring a beaming smile to all participants & the audience alike.

As dusk approaches, we kick back a bit and enjoy some smoother sounds featuring Jenna Roubos, Agnieshka (Aggie) Markwell, Nadia Migliardi & Raymond Khong & family as they serenade us with a selection of time-honoured Christmas songs and carols that will put a smile on everyone’s faces as we move to the more Traditional part of the evening… the Carols.

We have an amazing selection of singers, Agnieshka Markwell, Nadia Migliardi & Jenna Roubos who will sing a selection of long-established Christmas Carols including “Silent Night” and “Hark the Heralds sing” that really puts us in the Christmas frame of mind.

And we finish the evening with a rousing set of popular Christmas sing-along classics sung by Warrandyte’s own local legend tenor Raymond Khong culminating in the time-honoured classic “Holy City”.

The entire cast will send us on our way with a medley of Christmas carols.

Bring your picnic tea, or food and drinks can be purchased onsite from food and drinks vans. EFTPOS donations will also be accepted during the performance for the annual Christmas Bowl Appeal and the Christmas candles.

If it is raining during the day, and bad weather is forecast for the evening, the program will be held the following evening, Sunday 17th December.
