The new church in Thessalonica was birthed because the apostle Paul had a vision of a man from Macedonia pleading to come and help (Acts 16:9-10). Paul did go but couldn’t remain because persecution broke out. But he followed how the new Christians were doing. His letter encourages them and, therefore, our growth in Christ.
